Christine Chin

Christine Chin is photography and new media artist based in Ithaca, NY and Associate Professor of Art and Architecture at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. With her work she creates visual fictions and uses unconventional depictions of science and technology initiate conversation on contemporary social issues. As WSW’s Parent Grant resident, Christine incorporated her interest in sewing into her practice by making patterns from a squash, head of garlic, onion, green pepper, and mushroom. She holds a BA in English Literature from Princeton University, her MA Fine Arts from Purdue University, and MFA in Photography from the University of New Mexico.
