Annette Gates
Annette Gates came to WSW with Cynthia Lollis to produce Saints Days, a book that, via the artists’ transatlantic collaboration, combines female saints, daily experiences, and the the Italian card game Scopa.
Annette has taught locally and nationally at institutions including The Atlantic College of Art, The Arrowmont School of Art and Craft and the University of Georgia. In addition to her WSW residency, Annette has been Artist In Residence at the International Ceramic Center in Denmark and the Hambidge Center in Georgia. Annette holds a BFA from the University of Colorado Boulder and an MFA from The University of Georgia. She lives and works in Athens, GA.
