Access Information

Parking: Visitors and residents are welcome to park along the gravel road of Binnewater Lane. If you need flatter ground, we recommend pulling up the gravel driveway on the right side of the building. There, you can find a paved area leading to a double-door entrance.

Building: WSW is a multi-building, two-story complex. It can be recognized by its brown wooden siding and large covered porch. Detailed access information regarding studios and housing is available upon request. Please contact [email protected].

Entrance: There are two entrances to the main WSW building. One is up five stone steps with no handrail, then six porch steps with a handrail and through the front door, which swings inward. The door to the right can be opened using the knob, while the other can be opened from the inside when necessary. The second entrance is around the right side and utilizes a ramp paved with stones with no steps. This door swings inward. Neither entrance is currently equipped with automatic doors. The doors are typically unlocked Monday-Friday, 9-5 pm.

Front Room: Both entrances lead directly into the front room, a large open space with wooden floors used for potluck lunches, events, and exhibitions. Due to the flexible use of this space, there are often folding tables and chairs set up in a range of configurations. The front room typically houses our Risograph printer.

Gallery: The gallery can be found by passing through either door frame at the rear of the front room or directly from the side door. The gallery consists of a short portion of hallway to the left and a longer space to the right on a wooden floor with an incline that ends at a concrete landing.

Downstairs Bathrooms: There are two bathrooms perpendicular to the gallery hallway. The first is small and has a wooden pocket door. The second is wheelchair-accessible and has a door that swings inwards. Metal grab bars are to the right of the toilet and behind it.
