Women's Studio Workshop

Women's Studio Workshop is a visual arts organization with specialized studios in printmaking, hand papermaking, ceramics, letterpress printing, photography, and book arts. Artists are invited to work at WSW as a part of our Fellowship Program, Artists' Books Grants, Residencies, Internships, or to learn new skills in our Summer Arts Institute and community workshop series.

WSW is currently conducting a Dialing for Dollars fundraising drive. Only once before in our 35 year history have we had to actually call our friends and ask for help. We had a shortfall of $60,000 this year. While it is a significant sum of money, we have already raised $44,000 of this deficit that developed because of reduced grant funding and you guessed it, the state of the economy.

We are looking forward to a new year with the promise of reinstated funding from some sources, and increased funding from NEA, but until that time comes we are asking our friends, old & new, for help. This is a challenging economic climate for all of us. At the same time we all know that WSW is an important organization that needs to exist & grow. Please consider making a donation to help us reach our goal. All of us here at WSW thank your for your support!

Our mission is to operate and maintain an artists' workspace that encourages the voice and vision of individual women artists, to provide professional opportunities for artists, and to promote programs designed to stimulate public involvement, awareness, and support for the visual arts.

We welcome you to browse through our site to learn more about our programs, explore our Artists' Books Archive, or view the work of some of the artists who have worked with us over the past 30 years.
