Kat Richards is a Philadelphia, PA based artist that primary uses printmaking and digital based technology. Using an extravagant pallet their work suggests a sense of fantastical narratives that is inspired by video games, architecture, queerness, and digital software.
Richards received her B.F.A (2016) in Fine Arts from the University of Kansas and her M.F.A. (2019) in Printmaking from Tyler School Of Art. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally in, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Stockholm, Oslo, among other locations. She has been involved with art organizations such as Anderson Ranch Art Center and working with art communities in Kansas City and Philadelphia. She was a visiting artist at the University of Kansas in 2019 and Kansas City Art Institute in 2017 and currently teaches at Tyler School of Art in the continuing Education program and is an instructor in the printmaking department.
