Until my body says sleep (Kokyo)

This bookwork was inspired by an old photograph from Japan of a woman named Kokyo, taken by an anonymous photographer sometime in the Meiji Era . The artist worked with the voice recognition software ‘iListen’ to write the text that makes up the body of this bookwork. The ‘spoken’ text is what she initially wrote and the ‘heard’ text is what the software heard her say.

Out of print.
