Art, Life, Food, at its simplest, is a collection of straightforward and conceptual potluck recipes from Women’s Studio Workshop. In line with the long tradition of feminist potlucks, WSW has its own story and traditions embedded into its work culture. Kucera documents this history (from a 2009 perspective) of potluck culture that is deeply intertwined with the interns, a sense of family, and a celebration of WSW’s 35th anniversary, including a non-exhaustive list of interns who had served until the publication year. Silkscreen covers are each unique on a recycled food package, visible on the reverse side.
