Chili Bowl Fest

On April 11th, Women’s Studio Workshop’s beloved Chili Bowl Fest Fundraiser returns! For over a quarter century, guests have enjoyed this celebration of community and ceramics–shopping from hundreds of handmade bowls and mugs, with all of the proceeds of the sale going to support WSW’s artistic programming. This year, we will be hosting both an online and in-person sale!

The in-person sale will take place from 2-7PM at Women’s Studio Workshop!

2-4PM: Early admission $10 *Kids get in for free!*

4-7PM: Free!

Each bowl purchase comes with a free serving of chili donated by dozens of local eateries!

Over 500 beautiful bowls hand-crafted by local artists, WSW staff and interns, resident artists, students, and volunteers will be available for purchase. Because so many hands contribute to this process, each vessel is one-of-a-kind, and widely varied in shape, size, color, decoration, and, of course, price-point. Guests always have a blast looking for the perfect piece!

The Online Sale will open at 10AM on April 13th. In addition to over 200 handmade bowls for sale, we will be raffling off work by Helen Prior! Each piece will be double-boxed, carefully packaged with recyclable materials, and mailed directly to your door for ultimate safety and ease. Be sure to bookmark the page and set your alarms, because these bowls will sell out fast!

Special thanks to Ellie Swanson for the gorgeous poster design!

Thank you to our 2026 sponsors!

This event is made possible by the generous individuals, businesses, and institutions of the Hudson Valley who support our mission:

A huge thank you to our fiscal year event sponsors, Rich & Bander LLPRyan and Ryan Insurance Brokers, and Ulster Savings Bank.

Since 1997 Women’s Studio Workshop has been hosting the Chili Bowl Fest Fundraiser.

A celebration of handmade ceramics and community that has become a staple of the Hudson Valley’s public festival schedule. Throughout it’s history the event has outgrown many spaces, but in 2022 we decided to bring it back home to our campus. Each year hundreds of one-of-a-kind bowls are hand-crafted by local artists, WSW staff and interns, students and volunteers. With a purchase of a vessel, guests get to enjoy chili donated by local restaurants, listen to live music and hang out with our community! All of the proceeds of the sale going to support WSW’s artistic programming.
