Melissa Smedley is a San Diego-based artist working in video, prints, site-specific and public art. In collaboration with writer Stacy Doris, she was awarded a WSW production grant for the book Mop Factory Incident, a play in three parts with text drifting from English to Spanish and back again. She holds an MFA from University of California at San Diego, where she is currently adjunct faculty in the Visual Art Department.
