Melissa Moreton is a bookbinder and book historian who came to WSW as an intern. She has gone on to earn an MA in Italian Renaissance Art History (Syracuse University), a Graduate Certificate in Book Studies (University of Iowa Center for the Book) and a PhD in History (University of Iowa). Her award-winning dissertation and current scholarship focus on book production by religious women in Renaissance and early modern Italy. Melissa is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Bookbinding at the University of Iowa Center for the Book. She lives in Iowa City, IA.
