Lisa Hecht
Lisa Hecht is a French-Canadian artist whose work explores the breakdown between private and public space and specifically focuses on how a repeating pattern can become political within a domestic space. At WSW, she worked in our silkscreen studio to work on a series of “wallpaper prints” with imagery and patterns referencing the body. Lisa received her MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has shown her work in the US and Canada and has received several grants from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Quebec.
