Judith Friedman

Judith Friedman came to WSW to work in our darkroom on a project examining New Jersey suburbs. She is a professor of sociology at Rutgers University, where she has researched visual artists’ perceptions of suburbia and patterns of suburbanization in New Jersey. Judith holds a PhD from the University of Michigan and has studied photography at the Maine Photographic Workshops, the New Brunswick Art Institute, and the Visual Studies Workshop. She lives in Highland Park, NJ.
