Dawn Gavin

Dawn Gavin is a Scotland-born British artist who lives and works in Baltimore, MD. Her work investigates loss, appropriation, identity and displacement, employing a range of media, from collage and installed drawings to digital video. At WSW, she experimented in our silkscreen studio on a series of prints derived from altered pages of science textbooks and romance novels. Dawn holds an MFA in fine and public art form the University of Dundee in Scotland. She is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland, College Park.
