Laureen Griffin
Laureen Griffin came to WSW from Philadelphia to create large silkscreen prints that emulate the patterns found in wallpaper and upholstery. The prints were used to create staged, room-like spaces for Laureen to install framed photographs from her “Gender Portrait Project”, which reflect material culture and gender identity. She has since returned to WSW to teach in our Summer Art Institute. Laureen holds an MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art and lives and works in Philadelphia.
