Emily Wortmann

Emily Wortmann received her BA in Art and Art History from Colgate University in 2019. While there, she received the Fitchen Award for Excellence in Art and Art History. She has focused her art historical research on women artists of varying backgrounds. Her senior thesis investigated the development of thought surrounding second-wave feminist artwork over the last half-century. In her own studio practice, Emily has explored themes such as memory, humor, and play through mediums like sculpture, printmaking, and collage. Additionally, she has participated in several artist residencies at Colgate University as an artist assistant and performer.
