Ellie Ga’s work explores photographic documentation and incorporates a wide range of mediums, including performative lectures, videos and installations. As a recipient of WSW’s Geraldine R. Dodge Residency, she produced the artist’s book Classification of a Spit Stain, the result of a two-year project photographing and analyzing stains on city pavements throughout the world. Ellie earned her MFA at Hunter College and has held artist residencies in round the world, including aboard the Tara scientific research vessel in the Arctic Ocean.
