Carlotta Origoni is an Italian artist based in Paris, France. She studied theater at Conservatoire Scuola D’Arte Drammatica Paolo Grassi in Milan and Continuing Education in Graphic Design and Multimedia at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris.
During her Art-in-Ed Artist’s Book Grant Residency, Carlotta printed and bound her handmade book, The Veil is Seen Only When It is Lifted in the silkscreen studio. The project reorganizes statistics regarding the binary gender gap and posits that compelling design can be reframe the conversation. Readers can overlap and layer informational graphics that reveal connections between studies.
