Baco Ohama
Baco Ohama is an artist and writer whose interdisciplinary work addresses relationships between history, language, and location. As an Artist’s Book Resident, she came to WSW to produce Until My Body Says Sleep (Kokyo), a letterpress printed book inspired by an old photograph from Japan of a woman named Kokyo. Baco earned her MFA at Concordia University. She lives in Calgary, Alberta and is on faculty in the low-residency undergraduate program at Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont.
