Ashleigh Pillay received her B.A. in Creative Studies, Book Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Given the constant progress of industrial technology in producing materials such as paper, print, and books, she is inspired by the need to conserve traditional methods. Leveraging various craft techniques, Ashleigh engages with her distant and under explored Seselwa identity. Her work is inspired by environment and the vibrancy of Seselwa culture.
