Ruth Wetzel
Ruth Wetzel is a printmaker and photographer who has twice been an artist-in-residence in WSW’s etching studio. Her work explores water as a source of both life and death and as an essential commodity in our rapidly changing world.
Ruth holds an MFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art. Her work has been exhibited most recently at Kentler International Drawing Space, Brooklyn, The Arsenal Gallery at Central Park, Davis-Orton Gallery in Hudson and Muroff Kotler Gallery at Ulster County Community College. In addition to the WSW, Ruth has been artist-in-residence at Platte Clove, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and Vermont Studio Center.
