Kirsten Hassenfeld

In ten years of working with paper, Kirsten Hassenfeld uses forms from jewelry, architecture, and landscape to build geometric, jewel-like structures. She came to WSW as a studio intern with a printmaking background, and has gone on to earn her MFA from the University of Arizona, Tucson. Her work has been recognized by awards such as a 2009 NYFA grant in sculpture and a 2006 Pollock-Krasner Grant. She has exhibited her work internationally.
