WSW’s 11th Annual Gala & Auction
Join us for our 11th Annual Gala & Auction on Sunday, May 20, 2018, from 3–7 pm in Kingston’s Uptown Stockade District. This celebratory afternoon at the elegant and contemporary Senate Garage will include cocktails, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, and silent and live auctions. This year, we are proud to recognize honorees Dani ReStack and Annie O’Neill for their dedication to serving artists and the community.
Dani ReStack began WSW’s clay program after her studio internship in 1997. After pursuing a career in film and sculpture, Dani has recently shown her work at the 2017 Whitney Biennial and the Toronto Film Festival. She has been the recipient of the Wexner Center Film/Video Residency, the Kazuko Award, and the Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice Visual Arts Grant.
“Maintaining this openness in the art world requires a committed optimism toward her own vulnerability. She’s filled with ideas of intersecting narratives following opossums (her legally changed middle name) to themes of macrocosmic realignment, and she’d love to make a full length feature—one day.”

A longtime friend of the Workshop, Annie O’Neill is a community leader and artist, working with regional organizations such as Unison Arts Center in New Paltz and the Gardiner Open Studio Tour. Her unique ceramics are a favorite at the Annual Chili Bowl Fiesta and she has dedicated countless hours over many decades to supporting WSW’s events and programs.
“Through her practice, Annie is deeply involved with the local cultural scene and supports institutions that share her values and enrich the Hudson Valley. After all, Annie has loved the Shawangunks since her family visited during her childhood.”
