DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Ruth McKinney Burket and Lora Shelley\nClass Type: One-Day Workshop\nSkill Level: All Levels\nTime: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm\nDates: Saturday\, November 19 \nThis class is currently full. Please email info@wsworkshop.org to be placed on the waitlist.  \nFor over five years Ruth McKinney Burket and Lora Shelley have been using silkscreen to collaborate on playful bowl designs for the WSW Chili Bowl Fest. They will be co-teaching this Saturday workshop and sharing what they’ve learned about silkscreen printing for clay. Students will be introduced to the basics of creating and transferring drawings through silkscreen onto a clay surface. There will be two three hour sessions with an hour lunch break. In the morning session\, participants will work with Ruth and learn how to coat and expose screens of their black and white images and drawings\, hand mix ceramic ink in various colors\, and print their images onto newsprint. Lora will guide the second half of the class and focus on a number of ways to transfer the printed images onto the wet clay. Students will be introduced to a couple of the instructor’s favorite decorating techniques to complete the image.  \n$120.00 members/$138.00 non-members.
