Day & Time: Mondays, 7 – 9 pm
Dates: August 28 – September 25
In this intermediate to advanced course, students will learn what it takes to make a properly lidded pot. Over the course of five weeks, the class will cover thrown lids, hand built lids, trimming to fit, as well as finial construction and attachment. Rachel will provide students with tips and techniques for getting a lid that fits both physically and aesthetically, turning your open vessels into holding vessels! We encourage you to integrate these new skills into your own projects, as class time will include personal work time and one-on-one instructor assistance.

Rachel Dubicki is a Hudson Valley native. In May of 2015, she received her BFA from Alfred University where she concentrated in ceramics, making functional tableware and using the wheel as her primary tool. After undergraduate, Rachel joined WSW as a Chili Bowl Workspace Resident. Since finishing, she has moved back to the area and is now an active member of the local art community and continuing her studio practice at Women’s Studio Workshop.
