Inside the Ceramic Studio with Rachel Dubicki

Six-week throwing workshop for beginner to intermediate skill levels. 
Monday, 7 – 9 p.m., September 5 – October 10, 2016

This introductory course is designed to turn any ceramic lover into a ceramic maker.  You’ll be introduced to the ceramic studio and learn the fundamental aspects of wheel throwing. Group demonstrations will revolve around wedging, centering, wall pulling, trimming and glazing to equip you with all the skills needed for wheel-throwing. Individual work time and one-on-one instruction give you ample time to get your hands on clay!

Pricing: $220 members / $245 non-members. Tuition includes one bag of clay and firing fees. A non-refundable $100 deposit is due upon registration. To register, call WSW at (845) 658-9133 or email info@wsworkshop.org.

Rachel Dubicki

Rachel Dubicki is a Hudson Valley native. In May of 2015, she received her BFA from Alfred University where she concentrated in ceramics, making functional tableware and using the wheel as her primary tool. After undergraduate, Rachel joined WSW as a Chili Bowl Workspace Resident. Since finishing, she has moved back to the area and is now an active member of the local art community and continuing her studio practice at Women’s Studio Workshop.
