DESCRIPTION:Inky Explorations with Letterpress Printing – Stephanie Carpenter \nDates: August 22 – 26\, 2022\nStudio: Letterpress\nTuition: Sliding Scale $300 – $1200\nLab fee: $75\nClass limit: 8 \n  \nClick Here For Materials List \nIn this workshop we will explore letterpress printing and a variety of experimental inking techniques that will help you create stunning\, one-of-a-kind prints with depth and dimension. Working with both traditional and contemporary approaches to creating relief prints\, participants will use a variety of materials such as wood\, metal\, and carved plates to create unique work that tells a story. You will learn how to work with brayer offset inking methods\, painting on the type\, ghost prints\, ink wiping techniques and more. Demonstrations will include multiple techniques and then participants are encouraged and supported in creating self-guided prints. Each participant will go home with new printing processes and a portfolio of unique prints. All experience levels are welcome. \nIn order to reserve your space in the workshop\, we require a $150 deposit.
