Full Tilt Bookbinding Session I – Susan Mills

July 3 - July 7

| $750

July 3-7
Tuition: $750 ($700 members)
Lab fee: $60
Class limit: 7
Student Material List

This class condenses lectures and demonstrations to cover material quickly.  We will bind a chapbook, accordion, papyrus scroll, Nag Hamadi single quire codex and a full cloth, sewn hardcover book – all in the first day – then move on to binding books with and without sewing, books that do not look ‘handmade’ and books that do and fitted archival boxes for books. There will be time to work on independent binding projects. Beginners are welcome and will find expert introductory instruction. Those with more experience can practice, refine, and expand their book repertoires.

This class is currently filled. Please call (845) 658-9133 to inquire about the class wait list.

An early convert to the pleasure of hand bookbinding, Susan has a deep knowledge of the medium, and has solved binding problems for hundreds of clients. WSW often turns to Susan when an artist-in-residence is creating a non-traditional book form, and of course she always has the perfect solution.
