Building off the Wheel with Cheyenne Mallo

Six-week throwing and hand-building class for intermediate to advanced skill levels. 
Thursday, 7 – 9 p.m., September 8 – October 13, 2016

Shake things up by throwing on the wheel and building off of it! In this class, you’ll pair wheel-thrown forms with hand-built elements, expanding your repertoire to include square casserole dishes, flasks, butter dishes, and more! This class is the perfect opportunity to hone both wheel-throwing and hand-building skills. Group demonstrations, individual work time, and personalized instruction ensure that you’ll be able to pursue your own projects.

Pricing: $220 members / $245 non-members. Tuition includes one bag of clay and firing fees. A non-refundable $100 deposit is due upon registration. To register, call WSW at (845) 658-9133 or email info@wsworkshop.org.

Cheyenne Mallo

Cheyenne Mallo graduated with a BFA in printmaking and ceramics from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls in 2010. Since relocating to the Hudson Valley in 2011, she has continued her studio practice making functional ceramics and continues exploring the Catskill Mountains that inspire her work.
