Tara Hagen graduated top of her class from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University with a BFA in Printmaking and Ceramics in 2011. Since then, Tara has worked as an artist and educator, teaching at the Memorial Art Gallery’s Creative Workshop, Art Centro, Children’s Home of Kingston, and Women’s Studio Workshop. Tara continues to deepen her understanding of the ceramics medium by working in the studios of artists, such as Ayumi Horie and Julianne Swartz. In her personal practice, she makes functional ceramics and woodcut prints that turn small moments into bold experiences.
