Talya Baharal-Gnida
Born in Israel, Talya Baharal-Gnida began her career in jewelry, then grew her practice to include sculptural work combining steel and handmade paper. Talya came to WSW to work with ArtFarm fibers as part of our “From Seed to Sheet” project. Primarily self-taught, Talya has studied Parsons School of Design and SUNY New Paltz. In 1988 she opened a design studio with her husband and collaborator Gene Gnida. Talya has exhibited and lectured about her work internationally.
