Karen Revis

New York City-based artist Karen Revis has explored minimal, grid-based markmaking in silk screen monoprints, encaustics, and mixed media on cast resin. As a Workspace Resident, she worked in papermaking to create geometric pulp paintings. Karen earned a BFA in painting at Pratt Institute and has exhibited her work across New York City and beyond. She is featured in Joanne Mattera’s The Art of Encaustic Painting: Contemporary Expression in the Ancient Medium of Pigmented Wax (Watson-Guptill Publications, 2001).
