Ellen Sollod

Ellen Sollod’s practice includes artist’s books, works on paper, sculpture, and site-specific works, with all of her work informed by social, political, historical and environmental conditions. She was awarded a WSW production grant for her artist’s book A Meditation on Human Rights and a Woman’s Life, which was sent to politicians around the world after its completion. Sollod continues to create contemporary installations that often incorporate sound and sensory experiences while her artist’s books range from intimate personal explorations to commentary on contemporary issues. Ellen holds an MA from the Institute for Urban Studies, University of Maryland. She lives and works in Seattle, WA.
