Transatlantic balderdash

Transatlantic Balderdash is a series of cards, not unlike flash cards, that feature the ‘big words’ used in Errors of the Amanuensis. The 25 words, from admonish to ultracrepidarian, are printed using a random selection from the over 3,000 type fonts available for KaKe Art to use during their residency at the Hessisches Landesmuseum fur Industriekultur in Darmstadt, Germany. The cards were shown to a group of Germans and Americans asking each group to define the word. On the back of each card are their responses and the correct definitions. Letterpress and digitally printed, housed in a handmade portfolio.
