Tate Klacsmann

Tate Klacsmann lives and works in Hudson, New York. He has an MFA from Johnson State College, MA in Art History from University of Glasgow, and BA from Yale University. At WSW, Tate spent his time refining his printing processes by incorporating a digital element to the work so deeply inspired by 15th century Gothic printmakers. His work deals with contradictions and dichotomies, stemming from his desire to create beautiful images from the fundamental destruction of the block to create relief prints. All of this culminated in a life-size archetypal figure made from roughly 34 blocks/plates.
