Tanja Zimmermann

Tanja Zimmermann is an artist, educator, and gallerist who arrived at WSW to work in the silkscreen studio. She finds inspiration for her practice in the many unique patterns, colors, forms, and lines of each new geographical area, and is fascinated by invisible textures and untouchable sensations existing within the world.

During her Studio Workspace Residency, Tanja made a series of monoprints of found photography, maps, and other images. Working to capture her own memories, she drew from the works of Austrian poet Michael Donhauser and imagery related to Tuileries Garden in Paris.
