Molly Berkson

Molly Berkson graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in 2015. In Chicago, she collaborated with a queer art collective called 3rd Language which published quarterly artist publications, distributed zines and small press print works by queer artists and writers, and curated exhibitions and events. She also interned with a community book binding project called North Branch Projects, and Seeds InService, a paper making collaborative.

Berkson’s studio practice explores the articulation of space through story telling and material. She utilizes print, paper & book, homesteading techniques, plant-based materials and other craft practices in order to map, draw, and make places infused with hidden pasts and political or oppositional histories.
