Ann Kalmbach, Executive Director and
co-founder of WSW
has an MFA
from Rochester Institute of Technology
and a BFA from SUNY New Paltz. Ann has
produced a number of artists' books with
her long-time collaborator, Tatana Kellner,
under the acronym KaKe Art. She has also
been a resident artist at Visual Studies
Workshop, University of Southern Maine,
and the MacDowell Colony. As a co-founder
of WSW, Ann has helped hundreds of artists
print portfolio editions and artists'
books over the years.

Tatana Kellner, Artistic Director and
co-founder of WSW
holds an MFA
from Rochester Institute of Technology
and a BA from the University of Toledo.
Tatana (Tana) has received numerous awards
for her work including two New York Foundation
for the Arts individual artists' grants.
She has been an artist-in-residence at
the MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, Ragdale,
Virginia Center for the Creative Arts,
Banff Centre, Lightworks, the Millay Colony,
ArtPark and Visual Studies Workshop. Her
work can be viewed at tatanakellner.com.
Tana oversees the artistic quality of
all WSW programs, organizes all juries
for competitive programs, and is responsible
for marketing WSW's artists' books and
portfolios.

Anita Wetzel, Development Director
and co-founder of WSW
holds a BFA in Painting from
SUNY New Paltz. Anita has been artist-in-residence
at Blue Mountain Lake Center for the Arts,
Virginia Center for the Creative Arts,
Weir Farm Trust, as well as at international residencies
in France and Spain. As Development Director,
Anita manages all governmental, corporate,
and private sector grants.

Chris Petrone, Studio Manager
has a BFA from
SUNY Purchase in painting, drawing and
printmaking. She supervises the day to
day operation of the papermaking studio.
As Studio Manager, Chris ensures the smooth
operation of all of the printmaking studios.

Marybeth
Wehrung, Clay Studio Manager
got her BFA in ceramics from SUNY New Paltz and was our 2005
chili bowl intern. She is currently teaching beginning throwing
and advanced community classes at WSW. As clay studio manager,
Marybeth is responsible for everything clay! This includes the
up keep of the studio, as well as the supervision of clay events
such as WSW's annual Chili Bowl Fundraiser.

Katie Scott-Childress, Deputy Director
of Development
Katie moved to Kingston, NY just over
a year ago. Before that she worked as
Curator/Director of a small museum in
Greenbelt, Maryland. Katie has spent
a number of years honing her skills as
a potter and ceramic tile artist. She
hopes to get her hands muddy from time-to-time
in the clay studio and looks forward
to gathering support for WSW's clay program
as a valued community resource as well
as expanding support for WSW through
individual donations.

Sarah Burt, Deputy Director
of Marketing
Sarah holds a BFA in Film/Video from
The Rhode Island School of Design. She
is co-owner and creative director of
no_space gallery, design &
photography studio on Main street in Rosendale. She currently lives with
her husband and two children in Hurley and is very happy to wipe off
the peanut butter and come down to WSW, where among other things, she serves
as resident geek, expanding and maintaining WSW's on-line presence through the
website and the online archive.

Sandra Brown, Office Manager
Sandra earned her B.A. in 2006 from Mills
College, in Oakland California, where
she studied English Literature and Book
Arts. While at Mills, she worked as an
assistant at the Heller Rare Book Room & Mills
Center for the Book. When Sandra relocated
to Rosendale over a year ago for WSW’s
admin internship position, she had no
idea she would become so smitten with
the Binnewater. Now she tries in earnest
to keep the flurry of office activity
properly coordinated. She has also become
close friends with the WSW Vandercook..

Hilary Batzel, Administrative Intern
Hilary Batzel was born and raised in
Canandaigua, New York. She has
a BFA in Studio Art with a concentration
in Ceramics from SUNY College at Fredonia,
and an MFA in Printmaking from Indiana
University of Pennsylvania. Hilary
works primarily with etching and aquatint,
though she is quite fond of all the printmaking
techniques. She also enjoys working
with sculptural ceramic vessels using
hand building techniques. |

Caitlin Wheeler, Studio Intern
Caitlin Wheeler is a multimedia artist
from Baltimore, Maryland and 2007 graduate
of the University of Delaware. She
holds a BFA in Printmaking and is excited
to have the opportunity to experiment
with sculptural papermaking during her
time here at WSW. Her other interests
include bikes, bluegrass, translucency,
speaking Spanish and being outside. |

Erin Woodbrey, Studio Intern
Erin Woodbrey recently graduated with
a BFA from The School of the Museum of
Fine Arts in affiliation with Tufts University this May 2007. She is a
printmaker and papermaker from Sebago Lake, Maine.

Michelle Chung , Chili Bowl Intern
Michelle Chung comes all the way from
sunny Los Angeles California. She completed
a BA in Literatures of the World at the
University of California in San Diego.
She fell in love with ceramics while
studying abroad at Ewha Women's University
in Seoul, South Korea. She hopes to learn
more about the Workshop and printmaking
while on this journey of life, love,
and the pursuit of chili

Whitney Reichel , Chili Bowl Intern
Whitney Reichel was raised just outside
Syracuse, NY where she began working
with clay in high school. She continued
to study art at SUNY New Paltz and studied
abroad in London, England in the Spring
of 2005. Upon returning, she entered
the Ceramics program and earned her BFA
degree in ceramics this past December,
2007. Whitney has worked for ceramic
artist Steve Montgomery and assisted
teaching classes at the college level.
She is excited to bring her experience
to the Women's Studio Workshop!
